I think Alastor wants to watch the sinners suffer, but he also did get attached to the Hazbin crew. Even if he was forced at first, he's Useful, Feared, Respected, and In the Spotlight working there, all things he wants. He's also being challeged intellectually, which helps with boredom.

As you said we don't know much about her relationship with Stella, but from what we've seen so far they don't seem very close. Not just from Stella refusing to check on her in the night, but also if you look at the walls in Octavia's room, she has a drawing of just her and her dad, no mom. And it's always Stolas holding her in the portraits we see around the house. Also someone pointed out that we've never seen her and her mom talk to each other

You should definitely dive deeper into her character I think you missed a lot of things about her

From the start I already know something's fishy with her, everything she tells feel too measured. And when she's showing us that balcony in dogtown then having that conversation, I just feel like it's an emotional manipulation tactic. So, choosing Reed's side and betraying her. As the story progresses during the Cerberus mission, I think that's where her true colors show, 'cause at that point she's obviously dying being almost completely taken over by blackwall, her moon plan escape has failed, that's when I start to believe her words. And then we get to see her memories, her past, that's when I begin to understand her actions and where she's coming from. So at the end, freeing her by ending her suffering is my best ending.

I'll admit... In my Teenage years... I still felt like a Kid, I was so Isolated and had little to no Friend's, think that definitely added to my Trust Issues...

I think you're right about us unintentionally acting like our parents. I just got done with work, and I worked with a patient at a rehab hospital who was really confused, and I thought the best strategy to get him to help me clean him up was being aggressive. Listening to you talk about Stolas and his father made me think I was like my mom, who was very verbally aggressive to the point of threatening us and insulting us. I was trying to get him to focus and understand that I needed him to cooperate with me even if he probably couldn't understand what was going on. I feel bad for doing that. But, I guess it makes sense that we would internally learn how things are when you live in an abusive environment. Thank you for this video and everything you do. ❤

I suspect that having lululand with his daughter and a date with Blitz at the same time is the chance for Stolas to have the image of a happy family, Blitz who actually gave him the most love in his life at this point instead of Stella Maybe he let himself get wrapped into that illusion for a moment, even though the reality for both Octavia and Blitz was very different

I think that fizz knows sign language because of his accident, his horns got broken and he wasn’t able to hear anything, maybe with time he got his audition back but his voice got broken too and that’s why it changed so much

The characters in the Hazbin Hotel/Helluva Boss universe used to have actual instagram accounts. One of the pictures on Stolas’ was Octavia at Stylish Occult, holding up a porcupine in a jar or something.

The sleep talk was really interesting. Do you have any other tips for someone who never seemed to be able to sleep as soon as they hit the bed? I often find myself needing to have something like an episode in the background, or in the worst cases sleeping pills. But when I have nothing my mind just starts to run amok and eventually I encounter some thoughts that pull me back and I can't seem to calm down and sleep anymore. In the past 1-2 month I have been falling asleep with the same Rick and Morty episode and it is always around the same part, it happens in minutes really. But when you said those things about learning the skill to sleep and not having an aid like that I just wondered if there's any tips you might have to make me learn it too. Sorry for the long comment, it just made me curious hearing that first part of the video and wanted to explain myself properly 😅

Just wondering why you didn't include any of the material showing Stolas's parenting in S2 Ep2 "Seeing Stars"?

You know? I'm someone who has had such maladaptive sleep patterns (using night during childhood to get away from stress and abuse and breaking my body with WAY too much caffeine) and possible other comorbid conditions that keep me from having normalized sleep. I think it would actually be really cool if there was a series that goes over healthy sleep hygiene and the psychology behind that. There's actually some really interesting stuff here that I haven't heard before on that, even with trying to do my own research. Lord knows that even if I do have things that irreparably make it way more difficult to sleep or have normal sleep rhythm, there's always things that could help. I would actually be very curious to hear Georgia's opinions and advice on a number of things related to that, or in my case even trying to handle ingrained tools that no longer serve someone. (Sorry if either of those are pretty extensively covered on the channel!) It's genuinely a huge goal of mine to get on Nebula to watch her and many other of these informative, creative, clever people. I'd understand if something that extensive was better suited for that site in the face of Google hellscapes, and I just love video essays so dang much. Love your insight and personality and big empathetic heart that you're always giving Georgia! Watching these videos has always been such a huge layer of depth to some of my favorite media, but also have actually given real life lessons and context for me to learn and grow from too. Oh god, I remember being 13 and being brought to Disney World, my mom bought one of those headband/antenae things, and I made sure to buy a baseball cap. We actually have a picture of me and my mom wearing our headgear, and the bill of the cap is pulled down so much you couldn't even see my chin. Also my parents had a very messy relationship through my teen years, leading to them getting a divorce right before I turn 17. I can recall at those times looking for reasons to stay out of the house, whether it be sports or spending the day with friends. Sometimes I'd bring my younger brother out with me to the bookstore that was a mile walk, or just down to the quarry with our dog. It was very much not fun, though I am grateful that my parents never tried to drag us into it as far as I know (though dad would occasionally start a rant about mom before cutting himself off with "I shouldn't talk badly about your mother" which did harm my mental image of her for a few years). I actually do recall one time before high school started just begging my mom to get a divorce, not because I wanted my parents separated, but I just wanted the fighting to end so I could have both my parents back without worrying about the next screaming match and when it'll start. I really feel for Octavia, though I would love to assure her that it does get better, and her father really is the type who would never Willingly leave her.

I wish my dad is kinda like Stolas. My dad is not an emotional person, so talking about serious things that require emotions or just a comforting hug is not something he does at all, leaving me very hungry for comfort and affection. And im 39 years old.

What gets me about the Wold here is that, he could have very easily been like; "nah, fuck your character development!" snapped his fingers and instantly took Puss' soul. But he didn't. Villainous Respect is a trope I love and makes Death not just a mindless concept.
